The Rocks we Walked Across - This shot, taken from above, shows one of the places we had to cross the stream to continue our journey through the bottom of the canyon. The water was very shallow, but the slippery rocks were still a challenge to cross.
The River Running Dry - This view of the emaciated river through the trees is both pretty, and sad.
Ripples on the wall - Those lines you see reflected on the wall near the top of the picture are actually reflections of the ripples in the stream. I think the one near the middle looks like a jellyfish.
Dark Waters - The shadows make this shot look like it belongs in "The Swamp Thing." I can just imagine a green, slimy hand reaching out to grab my ankle!
Erin's Waterfall - My perspective of our resting spot. (To be viewed with "Dan's Waterfall")
Dan's Waterfall - We rested on the ledge by this petite waterfall. Both of us took a picture of it. This is Dan's perspective. (To be viewed with Erin's Waterfall)
Across the Lake - The sunshine on the lake made the water look like it was constantly shifting between different shades of green. This shot was taken at ground level, across the water.
Algae on the Lake - This is may favorite water shot. The green splotches look like lily pads, but are really just algae. The broken branches add character to the scene.
Fish in There Somewhere! - We took this picture to show all of the little fish surviving in this puddle. Instead, we got this cool copper-infused water, accented by the sun. But, there really ARE fish in there somewhere!
A Shadow Across the River - Some parts of the stream were close to being dried up, but still had a trickle of rusty water. This shot was taken down into the canyon from above. The thin shadow of a tree crossing midway through the scene is like the stream itself; barely there.
